Fundraising

Let's not hide the fact that the main reason behind fundraising is to help reduce costs and fees for the various activities we'll have throughout the year. 

Another lesser known but more important benefit of fundraising is how it develops in the youth (and participating adults) a sense of community, discipline and self worth.

Yes, we participate in traditional and direct fundraising like selling chocolate bars and popcorn but we also participate in more indirect activities that make an impact in our community. Examples are Rockland Community clean-up, Tucker House clean-up, pop-can collecting, guignolé, etc... 

There's nothing like picking up somebody's garbage on "Community Clean up day" to make a child think twice about littering. :o)

Below is a non-exhaustive list of activities we participate in.  Some are group-wide (Apple Day) while others are specific to a section.
